Can you give me a VERY EASY Sugar Cookie recipe?
1 cup soft unsalted butter


1 2/3 cup granulated sugar


2 large eggs


1 tbsp. vanilla extract


3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour


3/4 tsp. salt


2 1/2 tsp. baking powder





Instructions:


Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs and the vanilla. Mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold the flour into the butter mixture.





Roll the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with a baking mat.





Dip the bottom of a drinking glass in sugar and press the cookie balls to a quarter-inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees F (200 C) for 8-10 minutes.





Makes approximately 4 to 4 1/2 dozen (2 1/2-3-inch) cookies.Can you give me a VERY EASY Sugar Cookie recipe?

CAKE MIX COOKIES


(I make these at Christmastime for gift giving)





White Cake Mix


2 Tablespoons water


2 eggs


1/2 cup cooking oil


1 teaspoon almond extract


1/2 cup chopped nuts


powdered sugar





Mix all ingredients, except powdered sugar.





Drop batter (about a teaspoon per cookie) into a bowl of powdered sugar.





Roll in sugar until it is an approximate shape of a ball.





Place ion a lightly greased cookie sheet.





Bake at 350 degrees about 18 minutes, until lightly browned.





Cool on wire racks. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.





(Use any flavoring or cake mix you desire.)





Use regular sugar instead of the powdered sugar.



SO-EASY SUGAR COOKIES





3/4 c. sugar


1/3 c. shortening (I use butter flavor Crisco)


1/3 c. oil


1 tbsp. milk


1 tsp. almond extract (I use vanilla)


1 egg


1 1/2 c. flour


1 1/2 tsp. baking powder


1/4 tsp. salt


1 tbsp. sugar





Heat oven to 375 degrees. In bowl combine sugar, shortening, oil, milk, almond extract and egg; mix well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Spread evenly in ungreased 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.


(I omit the 1 tbsp. sugar. Bake as directed. Cool and then frost with powdered sugar icing.)






Cream together 1 C butter and 2 C sugar. Mix in 2 beaten eggs. Sift in 4 1/2 C flour, 1 t soda and a pinch of salt and combine. Stir in 1 t vanilla. Turn out onto board and shape into 2 rolls about 2'; in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate for at least a day. Then slice and bake.
Yes! My favorite is to go to the grocery, back by the eggs and whatnot, Pillsbury makes a premade dough!! That is my favorite EASY recipe!!
