An easy chewy sugar cookie recipe with basic ingredients?

CHEWY SUGAR COOKIES





2 c. sugar


1 tbsp. vanilla


1 tsp. baking powder


4 c. sifted flour


2/3 c. corn oil


2 lg. eggs


1 tsp. soda





Mix well. Cover baking sheet with aluminum foil. Take 1 teaspoon dough and make ball and flatten. Place on sheet. Bake 8 minutes on top rack at 375 degrees. Let cool to firm up.














PLUMP %26amp; CHEWY SUGAR COOKIES





2/3 c. butter


1 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar


1 c. granulated sugar


2 eggs


2 tsp. vanilla extract


4 1/2 c. all purpose flour


2 tsp. baking soda


1 tsp. baking powder


1 tsp. salt


3/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk


1 3/4 c. (14 oz. pkg.) M %26amp; M's or Toll House chocolate chips





To sour milk, use 2 1/4 teaspoons vinegar plus enough milk to equal 3/4 cup.


Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Stir in M %26amp; M's or chocolate chips. Drop by level 1/4 cupfuls 3'; apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet to a wire rack. this one is a standard drop cookie. no rolling just add decorative sugar


3 cups flour


3 tsp baking powder


1/2 cup shortening


1/2 cup butter


1 1/4 cup sugar


2 eggs


1 tsp vanilla


2/3 cup milk





Mix together the flour baking powder and salt





In the mixer cream together the butter and the sugar. add eggs blend thoroughly. add vanilla. add dry ingredients alternately with the milk. mix well. chill





add by the teaspoons to a sprayed cookie sheet. add decorative sugar or regular sugar to tops of spoon fulls bake at 375 for 10 minutes. makes about 5 doz.


I love this and is very easy to make.
TENDER SUGAR COOKIES








1 cup butter softened


1cup granulated sugar


1 tsp. baking powder


¼ tsp. salt


1 egg


1 tsp. vanilla


2-¼ cups all-purpose flour


colored decorating sugar








Beat butter in large bowl w/electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar, powder %26amp; salt. Beat until combined. , scraping side of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs %26amp; vanilla until combined. Beat in as much flour as you can w/mixer. Stir in remaining flour. If necessary, cover %26amp; chill dough in refrigerator until dough is easy to handle. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Shape dough into 1” balls %26amp; roll in colored sugar. Place balls 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake about 15 minutes, or until tops are crackled %26amp; sides re set. Do not let edges brown. Transfer cookies to wire racks %26amp; cool completely. Place cookies in layers, separated by sheets of waxed paper, in airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.








Yield: About 60 Cookies
