Do you know a very soft and easy sugar cookie recipe?

A soft and easy cookie? So when it comes out of the oven its soft and an hour later its soft. =] Not to much butter in it!

* 2/3 cup shortening


* 2/3 cup butter


* 1 1/2 cups white sugar


* 2 eggs


* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract


* 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


* 2 teaspoons baking powder


* 1 teaspoon salt


* 1/3 cup granulated sugar for decoration





1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).





2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, stir into the creamed mixture until dough comes together. Roll dough into walnut sized balls and roll the balls in sugar. Place them on an unprepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.





3. Bake cookies 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until bottom is light brown. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.Do you know a very soft and easy sugar cookie recipe?
Soft Sugar Cookies





2 cup unbleached flour, sifted


1/2 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/4 cup shortening


1/4 cup butter or margarine


1 cup granulated sugar


1 each egg yolk


1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk


1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


1 each egg white





Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Sift the flour, soda, and salt together, and set aside. Work the shortening and butter together, with a spoon, until fluffy and creamy. Add the sugar slowly, continuing to work until light. Then add the egg yolk and beat until light and fluffy. Add the flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and then gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg white.


Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a spatula to 1/2-inch thickness. Bake in the preheated over for 20 minutes or until done.


Makes 18 cookies.

8 ounces plain flour


4 1/2 ounces butter


4 ounces sugar


little vanilla extract

1line a baking tray with silicone paper.


2PREHEAT OVEN 180OC (sorry not sure about oF).


3sift flour and rub into butter until crumb like.


4add sugar.


5Add beaten egg and vanilla and make into a stiff dough.


6Knead together a little on a floured board.


7This dough can now be cut to anything.


8Don't over cook the biscuits, they will harden up on a cooling tray.


9I like to melt some chocolate in a disposable icing bag and decorate them, but you can do anything with them now.

Italian soft cookies





Yield: 2 dozen+





6 Eggs


4 tb Melted shortening


1/2 Box ( 1/2 lb) confectioners


Sugar


1 tb Lemon extract


1/4 ts Anise oil or extract


3 tb Baking powder


3 c Flour


Frosting:


Milk, confectioners


Sugar, colored jimmies





Beat eggs very well and blend in sugar, melted shortening and flavorings.


Sift flour and baking powder and add to mixture to make a soft dough. If


to sticky, add a bit more flour for a soft dough. Shape into 2 large fat


long rolls and flatten tops with finger tips. Place each on a greased


cookie sheet and bake 375 for 20 minutes or light golden. Cool, frost and slice on the diagonal. For frosting, mix a little milk and powder sugar to make a thin frosting. With pastry brush, brush over cookie rolls and sprinkle with colored jimmies. Cut when cold.





Big Soft Ginger Cookies Recipe





Ingredients:-


鈥? 1/4 cups all-purpose flour





鈥? teaspoons ground ginger





鈥?/3 cup sugar





鈥? teaspoon baking soda





鈥?/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon





鈥?/2 teaspoon ground cloves





鈥?/4 teaspoon salt





鈥?/4 cup margarine, softened





鈥? cup white sugar





鈥? egg





鈥? tablespoon water





鈥?/4 cup molasses





鈥? tablespoons white sugar





Directions:-


鈥reheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Set aside.





鈥n a large bowl, cream together the margarine and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then stir in the water and molasses. Gradually stir the sifted ingredients into the molasses mixture. Shape dough into walnut sized balls, and roll them in the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar. Place the cookies 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet, and flatten slightly.





鈥ake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container

These are the softest (and stay that way the longest) sugar cookies I have ever made. Try them. You won't be disappointed.
