Does anyone know a easy christmas cookie recipe or any christmas recipe for the holidays?

my family has came and i want to make a special dinnerDoes anyone know a easy christmas cookie recipe or any christmas recipe for the holidays?
These are the easiest cookies to make:


Granny's Sugar Cookies:


1 stick butter


1 cup sugar


1 egg


2 cups self rising flour


1/2 tsp. vanilla


Cream together butter and sugar


Add egg, mix well


Add flour, a couple of tablespoons at a time, mixing well between each addition


Stir in vanilla


Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll to 1/4 inch thick


Cut out cookies using holiday cookie cutters (stars, angels, Christmas trees, etc)


Place cookies on lightly greased cookie sheets


Bake in a 400 degree preheated oven for 8-10 minutes


Remove from oven and place on wire cooling racks


Mix 1/4 cup sugar with a couple of drops of green food coloring


Mix 1/4 cup sugar with a couple of drops of red food coloring


Sprinkle colored sugar on warm cookies.Does anyone know a easy christmas cookie recipe or any christmas recipe for the holidays?

I remember when my mother had made her famous homemade


christmas cookies and they were so good! On top of the cookies had green and red frosting and a strawberry and they r delicious!
Yes, my late mother always made these at christmas time to give to only our friends and neighbors,





Sandies (1/2 recipe)


creme together:


2 sticks oleo softened


1/2 c. powered sugar


then add in


2 c.flour


1 1/2 tsp. vanilla


nuts





drop on greased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes in a 375 preheated oven. Roll in powdered sugar when completely cooled.





They are rich but delicious.
