SUGAR COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

You can use almond extract instead or vanilla extract or almond flavoring or vanilla flavoring

you can also do a small batch you divide the recipe in half
INGREDIENTS:

6 eggs

3/4 cup evaporated milk

1 cup vegetable oil

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups white sugar

2 tablespoons baking powder

6 cups all-purpose flour

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs, evaporated milk, oil and vanilla until well blended. Mix in the sugar and baking powder. Stir in the flour 1 cup at a time until the dough becomes too stiff to stir. Turn out onto a clean surface and knead in as much of the remaining flour as possible. Dough should be smooth and not sticky. Keep the dough covered with a towel while pinching off tablespoon sized pieces of dough and rolling them into small ropes 6 inches long and 1/4 inch in diameter. Tie ropes into loose knots and place them 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. The cookies will almost triple in size while baking.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until light brown on the bottom. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. When cool, glaze with a mixture of confectioners' sugar and water, if desired.
No Bake Cookies.

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

4 tbls unsweetend cocoa

bring to boil- remove from heat-

add

3 cups quick oats

1/2 tsp vanilla

2/3 cup peanut butter

they are really good we have had this recipe written in a recipe book since i was a little little girl. :)

I have had them before where someone has changed the oatmeal to coconut but i am not sure if it will work the same with this recipe and I don't think that those are good

these are also good make with chunky peanut butter instead of creamy.

-------------

No bake cookies

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup butter

16 large marshmallows

1/3 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup flaked coconut

2 cups rolled oats

Melt chocolate chips, butter, and marshmallows over low heat. Stir until smooth, and remove from heat. Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, coconut, and oats. Mix thoroughly. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto waxed paper. (I like to add another step here and flatten them and just put one or two peanut butter chips in the middle) Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until set
go buy them and reheat
