Whats a simple, easy cookie recipe? preferably common?

i love baking but im running out of cookie recipies. i want someething that isnt difficult and extreme, and if yuo can give me a recommendation as to what you prefer. personal experiences help me understand, so dont just give me a site please.Whats a simple, easy cookie recipe? preferably common?
chocolate oatmeal cookies


they are so easy to make!


mix 2 cups of sugar 2and1/2 tbs. of coco, 1/2 cup of milk,and 1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter in a pan over med. heat till boiling, boil for about 2 min. remove from heat add 2 cups of quick oats, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and 1 tsp of vanilla mix and drop by spoon fulls on to wax paper and let cool.

Our family loves peanut butter cookies. Have been using this easy cheap recipe for years.


1 cup of peanut butter (crunchy or creamy) your preference


1 cup sugar


1 egg


1 tsp vanilla(can be omitted if you don't have any)


Mix all ingredients together. Will be sticky so put some flour on your hands. Roll into balls and smush down with a fork.


Preheat oven to 350f. Depending on your oven bake between 9-12 min or until golden brown on bottom. Let set on cookie sheet for about 5 min to cool before removing them.
COCONUT KISSES





1 c. brown sugar


2 stiffly beaten egg whites


2 c. corn flakes


1 c. moist shredded coconut


1/2 c. chopped walnuts


1/2 tsp. vanilla





Beat sugar into egg whites. Fold in corn flakes, coconut, and nuts. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoons onto well-greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Place pans on damp towel, remove cookies immediately with spatula. If cookies stick to pan, return to oven to soften.





LEMON TEA COOKIES





1 2/3 c. all purpose flour


1/3 c. powdered sugar


1 c. butter, softened


1 tsp. vanilla





FILLING:





1 egg, beaten


2/3 c. sugar


2-3 tsp. grated lemon peel


1 tsp. cornstarch


1/4 tsp. salt


3 tbsp. lemon juice


1 tbsp. butter


Coconut or powdered sugar





In medium bowl combine first 4 ingredients; blend well. Chill dough. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. With thumb or forefinger make imprint in center of each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool. In medium saucepan combine filling ingredients except coconut or powdered sugar; cook over low heat stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. Cool, top each cookie with about 1/4 teaspoon filling. Sprinkle with coconut or powdered sugar. 36 cookies.





ORANGE DROP COOKIES





1 1/2 c. brown sugar


1 c. shortening


1 c. milk with 1 tsp. soda


2 eggs


3 c. flour


2 tsp. baking powder


1/2 tsp. salt


1 tbsp. grated orange peel


1 tsp. vanilla





Mix together brown sugar, shortening, milk and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.


Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven until light brown.








FROSTING:





2 c. powdered sugar


2 tbsp. butter, melted


3 tbsp. orange juice


1 tsp. grated orange peel
